What it Takes to Make a Brand
Your brand is more than your logo. Your brand is the energy it projects. How it makes people feel. Creative Fang helps communicate your brand’s promise in a way that’s memorable and motivating. Here’s a peek of how its done.
1: Target
Who uses your product or service? Who else would enjoy it? The more you know about your target audience, the better you can reach them. That means age range, how they identify, what they believe in, where they shop, if they’re dog people… you get it.
2: Moodboard + Stylescape
I love this part. I start to bring your brand to life by curating a variety of images, typefaces, colors, words, textures and more. This is a huge collaborative step in the branding process, and it helps establish a visual roadmap.
3: Research
Keep your friends close and your competition closer. Find out who they are, because chances are, your audience already knows them. Stay updated on what they’re up to and figure out what they do well — so you can do it better.
4: Play Time
Designing your brand from scratch is what separates Creative Fang from a design factory you can get online. With pen and paper (or procreate), I explore a variety of options that can work across a variety of mediums.
5: Go Live
You did it. By doing the work, you’ve got a brand guide that can help you communicate with the world and a solid foundation to help your brand grow and evolve. Every brand journey is different, and yours may take a different path than what I’ve described. But I’m up for the challenge. And ready to help you figure it out.
